0077c kokoro no kaze

wind of the heart...
something a little different from my usual style...
i wanted to draw flowing hair and the bandage flowing loosely in the wind...however kites' hair is kind of short, isn't it...
heh. it still came out nice, i think. i used lower contrast colors this time, and didn't paint them as brightly...
today is overcast and windy.
actually, this is about half the picture (there was a lot more background), but the other side ended up too warped from the layers of washes i did...you can see some of the wrinkles on the right side.
i think if i'm gonna do watercolors, i'm gonna switch back to the thinner, rough paper, this copic one is too smooth and doesn't absorb the water consistently.
the left hand is kind of awkward...it looks like its part of the shirt or something...well, that's a minor thing, really.
on a humid day, its a good idea to try using a hot iron on your paper, because then it will be a lot drier to start with.
